Together, we remove barriers, recognize strengths, and create meaningful opportunities for every child to grow and connect with their community.
Founder &
Executive Director
Darbi Philibert, MHS, LOTR
Darbi Philibert is the Founder and Executive Director of T.E.A.M. Foundation and Director of Camp Thrive. A pediatric occupational therapist with more than 31 years of experience, Certified Autism Specialist, and owner of Thrive Therapeutics, she supports children and families in their homes, schools, and communities.
A former assistant professor in a multidisciplinary, research-based model, Darbi is a national speaker and published author. Her leadership includes serving as President of the Louisiana Occupational Therapy Association and on advisory councils for the American Occupational Therapy Association and Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners. She was the visionary and founding Director of Camp Benny, leading its inclusive, strengths-based programming for its first two years.
Through T.E.A.M. Foundation, Darbi expands access to inclusive experiences, adaptive equipment, family support, advocacy, and education—helping children participate, belong, and thrive.
Programs & Services
Camp Thrive provides inclusive, strengths‑based camp experiences where children, ages 6-12 years old, with diverse abilities engage, participate, and find joy in meaningful activities. Through structured routines, sensory‑friendly environments, and compassionate guidance, we create a place where every camper feels safe, celebrated, and capable. Camp Thrive is a community where all kids thrive, grow at their own pace, discover new skills, and experience the joy of being fully themselves.
Parent Partnership Program
The Parent Partnership Program supports families of children with diverse abilities through education, connection, and individualized guidance. We provide accessible seminars that help caregivers understand their child’s strengths, needs, and developmental pathways. Our team also offers follow‑up outreach, home visits, and tailored resources to help families apply strategies in real-life settings. Through compassionate coaching and practical tools, we empower parents to feel confident, supported, and equipped to help their children thrive at home, at school, and in the community.
Thrive Professional Development Program
The Thrive Professional Development Program equips Camp Thrive staff, educators, students, and community professionals with the knowledge and skills needed to support children with neurodiversity and other special needs. Our training emphasizes neuro‑affirming practices, effective communication strategies, compassionate behavioral supports, and meaningful activity adaptations that increase participation and engagement. Through sensory‑regulation tools and environmental modifications, we help professionals create spaces where every child feels understood, included, and able to thrive.
FUture programs
TEAM Foundation is committed to growing alongside the families and communities we serve. As needs evolve, so will our programs. Future initiatives will be developed thoughtfully and responsively, guided by the voices, experiences, and priorities of children, caregivers, and professionals. While new programs are still in the works, each one will reflect our core mission: creating inclusive, supportive, and neuro‑affirming opportunities where every child and family can thrive.
